Functional description
- When powered from the vehicle's internal supply, the unit converts a three-phase AC voltage of 400 V/50 Hz into a galvanically isolated 24 V DC voltage. When powered from the platform/depot supply network, it converts a single-phase AC voltage of 230 V/50 Hz into the same galvanically isolated 24 V DC voltage. The 24 V DC output supplies the vehicle battery and DC loads (output voltage varies with battery temperature).
Application
- Used in series production on the ALSTOM/SBB H4 locomotive.
